A fascist school class rebels against their system-critical teacher, and as a disciplinary punishment, the class and teacher are immediately sent to a military camp. There they prepare for war, and in the process, a student dies. What happened, and who is responsible? A cold-blooded murderer? The silent teacher? The fascist system? With "Youth without God," we want to open a discussion about where moral cowardice ends and civil courage begins. In a time when conviction is often demanded but rarely lived out, we're making a current social statement. Over the past six months, we at StuThe (Studierenden Theater Zürich) have newly staged and modernized the play to build a bridge from the fiction of the past to the world we all live in, here and now.
