At its heart is the music of Danny Elfman, Burton's long-time collaborator and one of the most distinctive film composers of our time. Elfman's music combines playfulness with menace, delicacy with grandeur — a perfect reflection of Burton's visual fantasy. Beyond Elfman, you can expect further highlights: unforgettable moments from Corpse Bride, the cult film Beetlejuice, the dark power of Batman and the razor-sharp drama of Sweeney Todd – The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. In this performance, Ensemble Sinfonietta Bern brings Burton's worlds to life in unique arrangements. Look forward to floating melodies, powerful instrumental colours and an atmosphere that transforms in an instant — from the macabre to the magical, from the intimate to the epic. This is not just a soundtrack concert — it is a theatrically immersive live experience. The mysterious magic emerges from the interplay of the musicians, the architecture of the space, the light and the music itself.
