The name on my passport is wrong.» Two Zurichers with Turkish migration backgrounds embark on a journey between two (or perhaps no) homelands. In this story about finding identity, identities get lost. No answers are provided, but perhaps simply the right questions are asked. In a world where racism as a macro issue dominates discussion and solutions are sought at the systemic or societal level, this performance creates space for micro-questions directed at the individual. Ideals and goals matter, but so does reality. «Fuck off back to your shitty country!» – said straight to your face. And now what? Ali Kandaş and Onur Kurtulmuş are both studying acting in the Bachelor programme at the Bern University of the Arts. They have already appeared in numerous productions outside the university context: Onur at Zurich Playhouse in My Heart is Full Of Na-Na-Na and Jetzt, Jetzt, Jetzt by Suna Gürler. Since the 2025/26 season, Ali has been with the Bern Playhouse Studio at the Bern State Theatres.
