At its heart is Argentine tango from the 1920s to 1960s, a time when tango became the voice of an entire society. Mezzo-soprano Olivia Milagro and bandoneonist Luciano Jungman dedicate themselves to this repertoire in an intimate and personal way. The warm depth of the voice meets the immediate expression of the bandoneon. MALENA CANTA EL TANGO builds a bridge between the poetic world of Argentine tango and an autobiographical narrative.
