A fascist school class rebels against the system-critical teacher; as a disciplinary punishment, the class and teacher are immediately sent to a military camp. There they are prepared for war, and in the process a student dies. What happened, and who is responsible? A cold-blooded murderer? The silent teacher? The fascist system? With "Youth Without God," we want to open a discussion about where moral cowardice ends and civil courage begins. In a time when conviction is often demanded but rarely lived, we're setting a timely social impulse. Over the last six months, we at StuThe (Student Theater Zurich) have restaged and modernized the play to build a bridge from the fiction of the past to the world we all live in, here and now.
