Usually Gregor is the first to get up and go to work. He brings money home for the whole family. On the morning our story begins, something is different. Gregor doesn't get up, doesn't go to work. He stays in bed. His mother, father and sister hear strange noises from Gregor's room. Gregor has transformed. Mother, father and sister don't know what to do. The transformed Gregor has no place in their lives. He dies. We tell this story because we wish for a world where there is room for all Gregors. Where we dare to be who we are. Even if that brings change with it. For over 25 years, Nora Vonder Mühll and Stefan Colombo have worked continuously together as Theatre Sgaramusch. With ever-changing collaborators, they create theatre for young audiences. They want to move, provoke questions and challenge. They are known for their unbounded desire to constantly try new things. They develop pieces from different genres and create worlds with reduced means. Because they trust their audience greatly. They deepen their material through thorough research into social issues; their stories remain in tune with the times.
