I'm here now." Muddi Johanna, the Holy Johanna of the Slaughterhouses, Jeanne d'Arc, Johanna of Orleans has emerged from the pages of Bertolt Brecht's book and is ready to save the animals, the world, yes everything. But from what exactly? Decidedly multifaceted in their glampunk attitude, three performers dedicate themselves to Özlem Özgül Dündar's new interpretation of The Holy Johanna of the Slaughterhouses by Bertolt Brecht. In the intimacy of a Tiny Desk Performance, they conjure up the Holy Johanna, the martyr – only she can save the animals and the rest of the world this evening. And so she rises from the letters of the book onto the boards of the stage. Musically, she raises her voice, answers the lament of the cattle with her own songs and ever new short stories, and wages the fight against exploitation.
