It is the continuation of her debut «Komme, was wolle», which sold several thousand copies. A true Zurich story: in 2009, the author, a young self-employed woman, has to fight for every commission and encounters ambiguous offers. When she loses her biggest client and enters a marital crisis, she sets off alone to Vietnam and Cambodia. In the jungle of Angkor she gets lost. Ran, a former child soldier of the Khmer Rouge, helps her out of the precarious situation and becomes her guide. Through his life story, she asks herself: What does happiness mean, and how much happiness do we have in Switzerland? 15 years later she returns and visits Smiling Gecko, the aid project of photographer Hannes Schmid. Part of the proceeds from the book flow into this project. The launch is the only reading of this book. Followed by an aperitif. Free entry. Seating in Restaurant Mohini is limited, so registration is required: [email protected]
